Collection of 132 cards (numbered from #1 to #132) and 33 stickers (numbered from #1 to #33).
Cards are distinguised by a "Red Frame" around each picture on a silver background.
Year 1980 was the start of a new decade and also the birth of a new trading cards collection of the Star Wars universe.
The success of Star Wars, 3 years before, was calling for a sequel and that was "The Empire Strikes Back".
Many differences can be found in this new collection compared to the previous one.
This one has 132 cards and 33 stickers, that is double and triple times larger than previous collection (per series).
Therefore, numeration goes from #1 to #132 in cards and from #1 to #33 in stickers.
This time the content is more structured in this collection.
The first card serves as a cover (Title Card) for the collection, then it is followed by 10 "STAR FILE" cards, which contain "OFFICIAL DATA" of the main characters on their back-sides.
From there, the following 106 cards depict scenes from the movie on the front-side, keeping its timeline, and a short description of the scene on the back-side called "STORY DIGEST". Also it shows the title of the next card in the collection.
The following batch of 13 cards contain art illustrations on the front-side and the classical "MOVIE FACTS" on the back.
And in the last 2 cards of the collection we can find a checklist for the first time.
Another big difference is in the stickers and puzzle.
Stickers set is made of 22 cards showing pictures framed by random letters and then 11 cards of die-cut portraits.
Also, this time the puzzle pieces are found in the back of the stickers, instead of the cards, forming a picture of 3x5 (RxC) cards in vertical orientation that depicts the four heroes in a frontal shot.
